Sandra L. Stewart is an executive coach and consultant with experience in hundreds of for-profit, nonprofit, and government organizations with her company, SLS Coaching & Consulting. She helps organizations to design and build coaching into their operations as well as to coach senior executives.
Sandra’s greatest fulfillment comes from helping a client shift their perspective to realize how they can make a difference for others while better aligning their actions with their values. She sees insecurities, anxieties, and fears as obstacles to human potential. Coaching enables people to overcome these barriers and find greater optimism and empowerment.
As a coaching instructor, Sandra teaches others how to coach and thus make that same difference in the lives of others. She has taught leadership development at the top-ranked University of Maryland Robert H. Smith School of Business and is a coaching instructor for ICF-accredited coach training programs at American University. She reviews ethics cases around the world as a member of the International Coaching Federation Independent Review Board.
Sandra received her BA from Colgate University and an MBA from Columbia University Business School. Prior to becoming an executive coach, she worked for international companies including Johnson & Johnson and Ferrero N.A., where she managed new product development.
Sandra has two adult children and three stepchildren and currently lives with her husband in Washington, DC. In her free time, she enjoys skiing, biking, hiking, and yoga.
